Another Diving with Dr. V

This was whole day trip, and I was one of the divers, that participated in this suicide 

diving training. As a first stop was wreck diving -- Wrecks name was Hardeep and it was sunk during the 2 WW. When we jumped into the water, the incredibly strong current took us few metres away. Finally after some complications, we have reached the bottom, where wreck was obviously  placed. I have never seen such a big wreck before. Everything started, when I wanted go little bit higher and the current started to take me away, above all I put some air into my diving suit, so that I started to be like buoy. My head was down and my legs were up. I have never felt like seal before since now. Finally I won the fight with current, so I decided, that it is enough fun with sea life for today. And I swum with my buddy Virginia on the surface. Here we found out, that Dr V. lost all the students, that he had responsibility for. Amazing. Finally we found them few, or hundred meters away from the boat. Then we changed the place of diving side and performed our last training skills.

Finally  I received the advanced open water certificate.

Hurray the ocean is waiting for me. (and the terror of the fish can begins)

Halloween rotary face painting

As a vice President of Rotary club, I have decided with my colleagues to organize

Halloween face painting, to rise money to our poor rotary funds.

After 2 hours of hard team work we have finally rise over 1000 Bath.

This was quite challenging for me since I never had a experience of painting

on someone's face, however this was finally overcome, showing that I have creative potential which have to be more developed. Overall I think that me and my Rotary members did quite good work.

Theatre, house competition

After hours of practicing, sweating and hard work, we have finished our theatr competition.

This competition was made among the houses, such as: green, yellow, red and blue.

Each house have chosen one of part of the book Summer in French town, and the quest, was to change the basic form of the story, into the play.

This activity involved hours of practicing the two months in advance, but the result was successful. 

Our team finally won the English week thanks to our efforts.

And for me it was useful to get new experience in the ways of creativity leadership and organising the play.

Dving - Koh Chang = Adventure week

This week we have been To Koh Chang During the mid term break. It was more adventure week than holiday. I took a diving lessons every day , so that I was completely exhausted every day, but finally I passed diving exams and now I am full diver who can dive every where. Now I started advanced diving that will allow me to dive under 20m deep so I will see if I will be able to complete it. Above all we have been participating in creativity actions such as playing the theatre, setting up ''national singer'' groups and so on.

I must say, that the diving was the most challenging in ways of underwater survival. We had to share the breathing device with our buddy together, or put our mask away and swim in 20m deep underwater.

To sum up I must say, that this week was the best week here in Thailand. I have learned new skills, such as be patient and don't panic underwater, above all we met with the other students (girls) from Bangkok. Thanks to this activities I was improving my self experience in ways of creativity and action.

Cross Bay Swim

Yesterday I participated in crossbay swim which involved rising money for poor children.

At 1 o'clock the 3.5 cross bay swim started. We jumped into the sea and started to swim. Mister Gibney as the leader of the Regent' s team was really like the motor swimmer and he dissapeared in few minutes. During the swim, I wanted to finish many times, but it was self challenge so I continued. Last kilometer was critical, but finally I used my last energy resources and reached the beach. On the beach I was proud to my self, because I've realized, what I have done and it was really good feeling to overcome my self possibilities. I won a gold medal, for finishing the swim and finally I had

a great lunch at Dusit Thani hotel. That day was very important for me, because I improved my physical and mental possibilities abo

ve all we helped to poor children by our swim.

Swimming gala

Today I had swimming gala, that means, that we have had swimming competition.

The result was, that i was participating in every competition possible.

Well after few skimmings it started to be little-bit exhausting but still,

I helped to my team and house reach the house points in this disciplines :

50m freestyle, 25m breaststroke, 25 butterfly relay and finally funny swimming relay, where i was first and my team too, but at the end of whole competitions we were second as a GREEN house.

The yellow team was first, but it was only game and it is not necessary to win but participate.

Beach cleaning

This Saturday We went to the beach cleaning. At 10:00 am we have arrived to the Thai primary school. The small Thai children were already waiting for us in front the school. Than we went to the beach equipped with plastic bags and glows. After 5 minutes we have arrived to the beach, but it wasn’t real beach it was port and the rubbish was all over. I don’t know, why they’ve chosen the port to clean, but anyway we started to clean the port, after to hours we have collected over 50 kilograms of rubbish and we returned to Thai school after a lunch we’ve took together photo and than went back to our boarding.

I think, that this activity very interesting In ways of international cooperation with Thais, who were not working and weren’t collecting rubbish. It was more service to the thais, but it was nice to see how the different parts of thailand look like.

Koh Chang - Surival trip

Before few days we went back from Koh Chang island in the south of our normal school territory.

We' ve been traveling for 6 hours to this magnificent island, during our travel by car  many magnificent events happened but the most interesting was connected with small lizard, I think, that it was small gecko, but anyway this small sweet- like lizard had hidden into the bag of the one of the girls, can you imagine what happened after, when one girl tried to pull out of the bag mars bar but only one think, that she pulled out was small deadly- scared gecko. Anyway, I don't want to speak for a long time about events connected with small animals, but i ll directly move to the section, what had appened after our arrival on the island- At first, I' ve never seen such a beautiful island with so many tropical plants, which were surrounding our IDEALS centre from the outside, true in some parts of IDEALS centre, there was a small rain forest surrounding Ideals centre from the inside, especially on our- boys house toilet, where after first day whole ant and huge fly family appeared. After arriving deeper to the Ideals centre, I mean boys house, i was totally impressed by luxury equipment – no sheets, pillows, towels. There was only few mouse excrement on my bed and luckily huge fungy vegetation in the other boys beds.

Second day 

after a breakfast we went on the walk of the death walk thru the rain forest.

 I must say, that i liked this trip, raining all the time, little bit windy and above all,

I became more friendlier with all local animals. All day I tryed to be dry, so i jumped over small streams, than small ponds, I jumped over small streams, than small double streams, than small  rivers and finally i fell into the huge river, so I was wet and my wet awareness was over. After arriving on the beach, we' ve received excellent message, that everything ad completely changed and that we have to go back thru the jungle. After surviving the jungle trip back to ideals centre, we were faced to the last quest of survival which was most exhausting, dangerous and scareful- building house and than COOKING – the night mare of the rest of boys who survived from the jungle.

After few seconds, minutes, hours – we finished our amazing dinner (mixed noodles with eggs and fish) Than we went to sleep

The third day we went to the activities and then hurray home or back to the boarding orrrgh.

To sum up I thing, that thanks to this amazing trip i ve received  experience in many ways for example of survival in the jungle, cooperation with the others or cooking skills. Above all it was great fun. -- I would like to do it again, but with sleeping in the nature or on the beach.

(only one problem occurred with really poor condition of blankets and pillows. In my opinion and opinion of another 30 boys the blankets are cleaned once a year, that is why some fungi occurred on the pillows and mouse excrement on the sheets)

Croston's Charity walk - (March of the death)

On friday, we were walking all day.

You may ask why?

The response is, that we had Croston' s charity walk, that means, that all the students of the Regent's School participated on this walk, to rise money for small thai children, who had no posibility to study. All begun in the morning. We had assembly, where mr -- I don't know his name, but he was bold and looked like soldier who already  returned from the battlefield. Our journey started after his speach. Over 600 students or more started marching 18Km to the Siam golf & country cub. I must say, that I was expecting easy walk in the country side, but after few meters, the reality was really rugged. I was walking like zombie because of my leg injury. But finally i over came all the hard parts of jungle including fighting with local habitants - mosquitos. My big enemy was big round think called- sun, but finally i won my own fight with this shiny thing -- I opened my umbrella and the fight with the sun was over. After this walk of death the end approached - the green golf oasis was only few meters away. Finally we have reached the destination of our walk. Our reward was bottle of cold water and then group foto. After taking foto all the adventurers went home or back to the prison on the boarding for example like me.

I think, that this activity was very good for development our adventure skills, thanks to walking all day in incredible hot weather and second we could use our service to the other skills when we were collecting money for the walk. Above all I have increased my self skills by walking all the 18 Km with my cripple leg.

Future plans

After many hours of misery, I've finally finished my blog.

In a future, I would like to add some photos, but for a start we must be a little bit modest. I received an excellent offer to teach small  children French by monsieur Delhommeau. I know, that I will not sleep few days and that I will have nightmares after teaching small always asking children, but on the other side it will be an excellent opportunity to try teacher's hard life and refresh my French after school.

It's an excellent opportunity how to speak another - non Roast beef language and how to use Creativity, Adventure and Serving to others - that' s about CAS.
